December 30, 2009: Restaurant Patrons Sickened at Iberia Peninsula Restaurant

New Jersey health officials are investigating a food poisoning outbreak which may be linked to Iberia Peninsula Restaurant located in Newark, New Jersey.

The outbreak occured following a party held at the restaurant on Sunday evening. There is the possibility that the foodborne pathogen, Salmonella, is responsible for the illnesses.

At least one person has been hospitalized and is in intensive care at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
