B&M Inc. of Vernon, Missouri, has announced the recall of O Organics Organic Celery Seed on December 16, 2011, because of the threat of a contamination from the organism, Salmonella. This product is sold throughout the country at Safeway-owned stores including Safeway, Carrs, Dominick’s, Genuardi’s, Pak ‘N Save, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb and Vons.

The recalled organic celery seed is packaged in 1.8 oz glass bottles and have a UPC code of 0-7989341124-8. The recalled product was sold between May 25, 2011 and December 16, 2011. The link to the table of lot numbers and “Best By” dates of the recalled product is below.  This information can be found at the bottom of the bottle.
