A Salmonella outbreak has been reported in Alamosa, Colorado.
Channel 9 News reports that Alamosa officials have confirmed 18 cases of Salmonella and another 21 illnesses are pending confirmation of Salmonella infection.
The source of the Salmonella outbreak has yet to be determined, although the Alamosa County Nursing Service indicated that most of the cases were reported in town.
The majority of patients range in age from 4 months to 18 years. The first Salmonella cases were reported to the Alamosa health officials last Wednesday.
