Olde Thompson Coriander Recall News – Older Thompson, LLC has issued a recall for its Olde Thompson and Sun Harvest Organic Ground Coriander due to a potential Salmonella contamination.

Olde Thompson Coriander Recall Information

On June 4, 2021, Olde Thompson, LLC, of Oxnard, CA, in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) initiated a recall for Olde Thompson and Sun Harvest Organic Ground Coriander due to a possible contamination of Salmonella. The Salmonella bacterium was discovered during routine sampling.

The affected coriander products come in 1.5 oz. glass jars with flip top closure, have lot numbers 23631 and 23632, and UPC code: 400000290942. The coriander products subject to this recall were sold at Homegoods, Jungle Jim’s International Market, and Smart and Final in Arizona, California, Georgia, New Jersey, Indiana, and Ohio between May 26 and June 4, 2021. This recall affects 626 units of Older Thompson Organic Ground Coriander and 150 units of Sun Harvest Organic Ground Coriander.

Consumers are urged to dispose of the recalled coriander product and container.

About Salmonella

Common symptoms of salmonellosis (Salmonella infection) may include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours after eating a contaminated food product. Illness usually lasts from about 4 to 7 days. Most people recover without treatment, however, the diarrhea may be so severe that the patient needs to be hospitalized. Older adults, infants, and persons with weakened immune systems are more likely to develop a severe illness.
