Taylor Farms Spinach Recall Announcement – On May 24, 2012, Taylor Farms Retail Inc. recalled certain packages of baby spinach because the product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella is type of pathogenic bacterium that can cause the illness salmonellosis. Symptoms of salmonellosis may include diarrhea (sometime bloody), abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, fever, chills, headache, muscle pain, and joint pain. Symptoms usually appear within 12-72 hours after the ingestion of contaminated food.
